Urbana is the county seat for Champaign County, Ohio. Urbana was founded in 1805, It is the burial place of the explorer and frontiersman Simon Kenton. Monument Square in downtown Urbana is graced with a monument of a Union Calvary Officer. Historical buildings, restaurants, quaint shops and Victorian era homes line the streets in all four directions. Urbana is a manufacturing and agricultural town with many amenities such as, an airport, a liberal arts University, shopping, fine eateries and a hospital.
